The Talent Development Scholarship Program from AEP, supported by Jim McVety of First Step Advisors, helps professionals new to the educational resource community learn, grow, and network at one of the industry’s most important events. Winners receive a full pass to the Content in Context (CIC) conference, as well as guided networking provided by veteran industry members. Before and after the CIC, scholarship winners will contribute articles to Educational Publishing.

Even a little improvement in customer service can impact your bottom line, said Connie Schofer (VP Sales and Outreach) and Kelly Stewart (Senior Director of Marketing) from MMS Education.  During their AEP Master Class webinar Why Customer Service is Critical in the Ed Tech Market, they reminded attendees it costs more money to make a new client than to serve an existing customer. Schofer and Stewart’s presentation outlined steps for developing a customer service strategy and hiring successful customer service representatives, but, most important, they emphasized the need to develop metrics to assess the results of your plan.  Continue reading
